Anaheim MDMC Workshop
Impacting Risk, Cost and Quality with Materials Information Management
This workshop took place during the Aero Design Expo
Date: 14 Nov 2006
Location: Anaheim Convention Center.
Californian aerospace was well-represented at the the latest MDMC workshop in Anaheim.
Attendees participated in an interactive discussion on the need for materials data management, saw demonstrations of the latest GRANTA MI technology, and listened to presentations covering the activities of the MDMC and case studies of its members.
The keynote presentation was from Michael Gorelik and John Perek at Honeywell Aerospace. Although last minute events conspired to keep Mike and John from Anaheim, they still joined the meeting by conference call. Their presentation covered Honeywell's need for materials data management, the experience of past efforts in this area, the reasoning behind Honeywell joining the MDMC, and the benefits gained from membership. Their talk and answers during Q&A were well-received by delegates and provided a positive insight on the workings of the MDMC.
