The Consortium
The
Material Data Management Consortium (MDMC) is a collaboration,
now in its third three-year phase, between ASM
International, Granta, NASA
Glenn Research Center and many
other international enterprises in the aerospace,
defense and energy sectors. The Consortium identifies
critical issues in the best-practice management,
analysis, and use of materials information, and
develops and applies a software system to address
these issues. The Consortium is open to new members.
Members of the MDMC can generate solutions
to their own key materials information problems and
benefit from shared ideas, expertise, and funding
in the solution of common issues. The MDMC:
- Provides a comprehensive suite of tools
to manage all aspects of the materials data lifecycle
- Increases the quality, integrity, and traceability
of materials data
- Increases the efficiency of data management
and analysis, saving time and money, and increasing
competitiveness
- Provides you with the data that you need,
when you need it, in the format that you require.
